Bee Leng Tan

Technical Advisory Group Member, Malaysia

Bee Leng is the Executive Director of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board (MASB)

She served as a member of the Technical Advisory Group on the IFR4NPO Project (International Financial Reporting for Non-Profit Organisations) from 2019-2025, while the first edition of the International Non-Profit Accounting Standard (INPAS) was under development.

She has been the MASB Executive Director since 2014, leading the staff of MASB in its role of developing and issuing accounting standards. She has more than 30 years of work experience, having been involved in public practice as well as in commerce and industry where she served in senior management roles in publicly listed companies.

Internationally, she represents MASB in the IASB Emerging Economies Group (EEG). In her personal capacity, she also serves on the ACCA Global Forum for Corporate Reporting. Previously, she retired from the IASB SME Implementation Group on 30 June 2022 after completing two three-year terms since her appointment on 1 July 2019. She later stepped down from the IFRS Advisory Council on 31 December 2025, also after having served the maximum of two three-year terms.
