In Argentina, Hernán Casinelli serves as General Director of the Accounting and Assurance Standards Committee under FACPCE, the national professional accountancy organization.

Internationally, he is currently a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) (since January 2024) and serves as Chair of the Group of Latin American Accounting Standard Setters (GLASS), where his non-renewable term concludes in November 2026.

His previous international experience includes serving as a member of the IAASB Reference Group for the ISA for LCEs project (2020–2023) and as a member of the IASB SME Implementation Group (2010–2016).

Professionally, he works as a consultant in accounting and financial reporting matters, complementing his practice with a strong commitment to academia. Since 2014, he has been Academic Director of the IFRS Certificate Program at Universidad Austral, developed in collaboration with ICAEW.

Hernán holds an MSc in Finance from Universidad Austral and a BSc in Accounting from the University of Buenos Aires.
