Jianqiao Lu

Chair Technical Advisory Group

Jianqiao Lu is a Professor at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE). He served as a Board Member of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) from 2017 to 2025. During his tenure at the IASB, he chaired the SME Implementation Group (SMEIG) and contributed to the development of International Non-Profit Accounting Standard (INPAS) as an IASB observer.

Prior to joining the IASB, he was Director of the Accounting Regulatory Department at the Ministry of Finance of China, where he played a pivotal role in aligning Chinese accounting standards with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). He also led China’s governmental accounting standards reform working group and developed China’s first comprehensive accounting standard for non-profit organisations. He has over ten years of NPO governance experience, serving on the Board of Directors of the China Youth Development Foundation and the Board of Supervisors of the Narada Foundation.

Professor Lu holds a PhD in Management from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
